Those who love this breed are crazy about them. But a Cairn Terrier is not the dog for everyone. Like Jack Russell Terriers and other kinds of terriers, Cairns are not like the mutt you had as a kid. THEY DON'T NEED TO MIND YOU. So, to train them you must be smarter than they are. (Which ain't easy. My Pierre outsmarts me at least once a day.)
